Walk with the Bulldogs (Open to All)
6:30-7:30 a.m. Meet at the Bulldog Wear your Bulldog Blue and join UNC Asheville's student-athletes, coaches and staff for an extended walking tour of the UNC Asheville campus. Ask the coaches questions, discuss your favorite sport and feel the burn as this hour-long excursion will reveal parts of campus you may not know about. Participants should wear appropriate clothing and shoes designed for variable terrain. In case of rain, the walk will be moved to the Kimmel Arena Concourse. Meet at the Bulldog for the walk with participants leaving promptly at 6:30 a.m.
Lunch 'n Learn and Employee Wellness Walk (Open to Faculty and Staff)
12:00-2:00 p.m. Lunch will be in Brown Hall Join fellow employees for a delicious and complimentary lunch before an extended walking tour of the UNC Asheville campus. Following a "connection" exercise, participants will learn about wellness programming planned for the year, along with new requirements for attending future lunch 'n learn programs. At 1:00 p.m. the group will depart the Dining Hall for a one-hour walk around campus. Participants should wear appropriate clothing and shoes designed for variable terrain. Demonstrations by Campus Recreation and Student Organizations (Open to Students)
12:00-2:00 p.m. UNC Asheville Quad Join us on the quad to experience the fun, healthy and social activities UNC Asheville's Campus Recreation and Student Organizations have to offer throughout the year. Play Frisbee, kick the soccer ball and ask questions.
An Evening with Shellie Pfohl (Open to All)
6:00-7:30 p.m. Sherrill Center Room 417 Share the evening with Shellie Pfohl. Shellie was appointed by President Barack Obama in February 2010 to serve as Executive Director of the President's Council on Fitness, Sports & Nutrition. She manages the activities and operations of the Council and leads the Council's efforts related to First Lady Michelle Obama's national Let's Move! initiative to solve childhood obesity within a generation. A photo opportunity will be made available at the end of the event, so bring your smartphones for pictures to post on your social media channels.

Health Screenings (Open to Faculty and Staff)
7:30-11:00 a.m. Sherrill Center Room 417 Representatives from Mission Health System and UNC Asheville will be on hand for employee health screenings. The assessment, utilizing finger stick technology, will provide participants with readings for blood glucose, blood lipids, body fat percentage and blood pressure. UNC Asheville Health Fair (Open to All)
11 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Kimmel Arena Concourse Join us for the 4th Annual Student Run Health Fair. Over 50 local health organizations, businesses and student-led groups will exhibit. Leading health care providers and community partners including Mission Health Systems and the North Carolina Center for Health and Wellness will be exhibiting. In addition, the Health Fair will offer free chair massages, acupuncturists, chiropractic practitioners, and specialists in sexual and reproductive health. Key public health organizations and health coalitions focused on healthy weight and nutrition will also participate. The event is free to all, but one non-perishable food donation is encouraged. All donations will be made to Manna Foodbank.
Balance Lab Open House (Open to All)
12:30-1:30 p.m. Sherrill Center Room 348 The UNC Asheville Balance Laboratory open house will give you the opportunity to learn about current research in fall prevention and improving your balance.
Biometrics Lab Open House (Open to All)
12:30-1:30 p.m. Sherrill Center Room 409 Visit the Biometrics Lab to learn about individual and group fitness assessments conducted with BodPod and Microfit equipment. Have your grip strength and/or flexibility checked.
HAPI Lab Open House (Open to All)
12:30-1:30 p.m. Sherrill Center Room 349 See what it means to age across the spectrum. Stop by the Healthy Aging Program Initiative (HAPI) Lab's open house at the Sherrill Center to experience balance, strength and aerobic training activities.
Neuro-Biofeedback Lab Open House (Open to All)
12:30 -1:30 p.m. Sherrill Center Room 442 and then will move to Room 451 Enjoy an introduction to Biofeedback and the services of the Biofeedback Lab here on campus. Biofeedback, the use of instrumentation to give a person insights into the ways the body is responding to input, is a non-invasive training orientation designed to promote healthy balance in our physiological functioning.
Teaching Kitchen Open House (Open to All)
12:30-1:30 p.m. Sherrill Center Teaching Kitchen Room 346 Join us for a local foods tasting and open house in the Sherrill Center Teaching Kitchen. The Teaching Kitchen engages UNC Asheville students, other campus community members and area adults and children in opportunities to learn about, cook, taste and share health-supporting food.
Punt, Pass and Kick Competition (Open to Students)
7:00-8:00 p.m. Intramural Fields Show your skills in UNC Asheville's Inaugural Punt, Pass and Kick Competition as part of Well-A-Bration 2013. Each contestant is allowed one punt, one pass and one place kick as part of the competition. Final scores are based on both distance and accuracy. The longer and straighter your kick, pass, or punt...the higher the score you will receive. Scores are determined from where a contestant's punt/pass/kick makes contact with the ground. Bounces or rolls do not apply. The male and female contestant with the highest cumulative score will win the title.
