Laurie Stradley joined the UNC Asheville staff in August, 2010 as the Director of State and Community Collaboration. Laurie received her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from the College of William and Mary, where she completed research in the area of exercise and aging as a Howard Hughes fellow. Stradley continued her education in the field by completing her Master’s of Art at UNC Chapel Hill with a focus on Exercise Physiology. After working in applied physiology at the US Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine, she then refocused on physical activity and health promotion with Be Active North Carolina.
